• Your support will elect leaders committed to safeguarding small business

The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality’s (DEQ) Climate Protection Program (CPP) is currently accepting comments for its 2024 version of the program, and small business owners are extremely concerned about the negative impact more regulatory burdens will have on their ability to continue operating in Oregon.

State agency directors are not elected officials, but they possess an incredible amount of power when it comes to setting policy and regulatory standards that affect businesses. Directors are appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate, which means elected officials set the direction of state agencies with who they place in leadership roles.

This highlights the importance of having elected leaders who are committed to safeguarding the interests of small business, their employees and their families. This is why the Defend Small Business PAC exists. Your contribution – no matter how small – will go to supporting candidates who reflect the values of everyday Oregonians like yourself. Your contribution may also qualify for the Oregon Political Tax Credit, which allows you to contribute up to $50 per person or $100 for joint filers to a political campaign of your choice, and receive every dollar of it back when you file your taxes.

Oregon cannot afford excessive regulation that stifles economic growth. Those we elect influence our every day lives, and it’s important they support the economic backbone of this state – its small businesses. Will you stand with us?
