• Will 2025 bring change to Oregon’s legislature?

With ballots officially in the mail, Oregonians will soon be casting their votes to select the leaders who will shape the direction of our state.

Oregon legislators are already preparing for tough budget discussions during the 2025 session, despite the stable revenue forecast released in September. House Republican Leader Helfrich stated that the forecast revealed sustained inflation and private sector struggles. Meanwhile, government continues to expand. He called on legislators to resist calling for new taxes - which would only compound the problem – and instead “unleash Oregon’s private sector potential.”

Small business cannot continue to bear the burden of rising taxes and heavy regulation. Oregon’s business climate will only change when our elected leaders prioritize creating a business climate that allows for small business growth, not hinder it.

It’s not too late to support the effort to stand for business in Oregon. The Defend Small Business PAC has endorsed candidates who have a proven track record of supporting small business. And every dollar counts in supporting these candidates who reflect the values of everyday Oregonians like yourself.

Together, our collective voice is powerful. Stand with us.
