• Businesses brace for another tax fight

First there was Measure 97. Then came the Corporate Activity Tax. Now, businesses are bracing for another tax fight with IP 17 - a potential new tax that could appear on this November’s ballot, which would create sky-high gross-income taxes for medium-sized businesses that would drain cash flow and jobs.

Small businesses are the backbone of our local economies, but they are increasingly being burdened with additional taxes to fund various state initiatives. This puts an undue strain on small business owners who are already navigating numerous challenges in today's economic climate, adding financial pressures which can stifle growth, reduce competitiveness, and in some cases, threaten their very survival.

We need our elected leaders to recognize that when small businesses thrive, the benefits extend far beyond the individual business. They drive innovation, support community development, and contribute to a diverse and resilient economic landscape. That is the goal of the Defend Small Business PAC.

Attacks on small business will not stop without the support of their champions. Small donations make a big difference in our ability to fight harmful policy.

    Will you stand with us?
